The PRAXIS II Physics Content Knowledge 0265 exam is designed to measure the knowledge and competencies necessary for a beginning teacher of secondary school physics. Examinees have typically completer or nearly completed a bachelor’s degree program with appropriate coursework in physics and education. These fundamental concepts and processes are useful in understanding the natural world. Insofar as possible, then, the test questions will have the primary objective of evaluating the content areas by using that focus on conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and problem solving in science. The exam will take 2 hours and cost for $80 and it has 100 multiple choice questions. This exam has six categories which are mechanics; electricity and magnetism; optics and waves; heat and thermodynamics; modern physics, atomic and nuclear structure; history and nature of science, science technology and social perspective.
